AARON WEAVER
ADVOCATE. LEADER. NEIGHBOR
Aaron Weaver’s connection to Hampton runs deep and lifelong. Born in Newport News, Virginia, and raised in Hampton, Aaron’s journey through the city’s educational system—from Hampton University Laboratory School to Hampton High School, and ultimately graduating from Hampton University as part of Onyx 7, Class of 2008—laid the foundation for his unwavering commitment to excellence. It was at Hampton University where Aaron’s dedication to service, leadership, and advocacy was nurtured, shaping the path he continues to walk today. Aaron’s professional career began with a climb to a management position at a Fortune 100 telecommunications company. In this role, he mastered store leadership, budget management, and workforce development, all while embracing the strategic use of data and technology. These experiences not only honed Aaron’s skills as a leader but also deepened his understanding of effective governance and strategic planning—key components in his approach to public service. What sets Aaron apart from other candidates is his genuine, hands-on dedication to his community. He began advocating for Hampton without seeking recognition or reward, driven solely by a deep love for the city and a firm belief in the power of service. This dedication was most evident during his time as a Citizen Services Advocate with 311 for the City of Hampton, where he worked tirelessly to address the concerns of his fellow citizens. Aaron’s work ethic and commitment to transparency were evident as he made himself available from early morning to late at night, ensuring that every resident had access to the help they needed. His mantra, “No one knows everything, but I will find it, or get you to the person that can help you,” exemplifies his approach to problem-solving and his deep respect for the community he serves.

Aaron’s decision to step away from city employment to stand up for his community in the Greater Wythe area, particularly regarding the property of the Virginia School for the Deaf and Blind, speaks volumes about his character. It was not enough for him to serve in the background—he knew that leadership required him to come to the forefront, to be the voice of truth and advocacy when it mattered most. This bold move distinguishes Aaron as a leader who is willing to take tangible actions, not just make plans. Continuing his family’s legacy as a third-generation shipbuilder, Aaron serves as a Production Planner & Scheduler 2. This role has provided him with a unique perspective on hard work, dedication, and the importance of service—values that he carries with him in every aspect of his life. Though his work takes him beyond Hampton, Aaron’s commitment to his hometown is unshakeable. He has seen firsthand the resilience, creativity, and determination of Hampton’s residents, and he is committed to supporting and uplifting the city in every possible way.
Aaron Weaver’s campaign for Hampton City Council is rooted in three core principles: being an Advocate for all citizens, especially those whose voices have been silenced; a Leader who unites the community to create positive change; and a Change Agent committed to turning
